Happy Halloween

Here’s another gif animation created in photoshop CS5 using simple selections, paint brushes with some layer effects added. I then apply blending modes and adjustment layers to add rich colors and lighting. The pumpkins are duplicated, converted to smart object, then puppet warp has been applied to create 3 different poses. I then animate these using Photoshop’s frame animation. Feel free to help yourself to this little animation (just right click and “save as”). Cheers!

Hey! May I ask how do you apply blending modes effects in animted gifs/all frames? I’m trying to do that but nothing happens with colors 😦 Thanks in advance! 🙂

      Hello Lucus,

Are you creating the gifs with a recent version of Photoshop? If so, while in the Animation workspace, you have full access to Photoshop layers and can apply any filters for blend modes, exactly the same way you would with the regular Photoshop workspace. The only difference is when you are in the Animation workspace you will see each frame of the gif at the bottom of the screen. You click on each frome, then in the Layers Panel, simply turn on the layers that you want included in that particular gif frame. Let me know if this answers your question.
